You'll be helping families like Henry's right here in the Central West.
Ronald McDonald House Central West in Orange has been a 'home away from home' for Henry and his family.
From arriving into the world at 24 weeks, weighing 560 grams just over 4 years ago, Henry, Lou and Garry have stayed at Ronald McDonald House in Orange when specialist treatment has been needed.
Why should you do this?
Our 'Run for Kids' campaign launched in 2026 in alignment with the 'Our City Real Estate Orange Running Festival'.
Some incredibly special entrants in the Orange Running Festival jumped on board and registered with us to either go solo or put a team together and 'Run for Kids' to help us care for sick and injured children at Ronald McDonald House Central West.
Every dollar raised STAYS IN THE CENTRAL WEST and helps families stay close to the care and support they need when their child is in hospital.
'Run for Kids' helps raise funds for vital programs in our region - including our House in Orange and our Hospital Carts in the Dubbo and Bathurst Hospital.
Since opening we've supported over 2000 families with accommodation and over 1400 families in the Paediatric and Special Care Nursery in Dubbo and Bathurst. The families we support come from across the region to receive specialist care for their child.
Orange Running Festival
EVENT INFORMATION
Join us on Sunday, 7 March 2027 for the 'Our City Real Estate Orange Running Festival' and enjoy a weekend away in the renowned food and wine region of Orange in Central West NSW.
The festival caters for all ages and abilities with a distance for everyone.
Sunday begins with our distance program consisting of the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon along a scenic, all sealed, gently undulating course in the cool climate of Orange.
Later in the morning the Orange Running Festival features their Mile events – Primary School Dash (K-6), Secondary School Dash (7-12), plus the Orange Community Mile.
The Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K courses have been World Athletics/AIMS certified and are eligible for earning ranking points, and for championships and events requiring qualification times.
Orange Running Festival supports several community organisations in the Orange area, including the RFS, Scouts, Cycling without Age and local schools. These organisations also help make the event a success each year by volunteering their service.
The Orange Running Festival is owned and operated by the Orange Runners Club. The first Festival was held in 2007 and has grown to be one of the premier Festivals on the running calendar each year. The festival continues to be a big supporter of local charities and businesses and due to the Festival’s success, makes significant donations each year.

To be a participant in 'Run for Sick Kids 2026' you also need to sign up for the actual event on the Orange Running Festival Page. Entry fee applies
Firstly you are raising awareness and getting your community talking about Ronald McDonald House.
Secondly any fundraising you do stays here in the Central West and helps us support families when their child needs treatment at Orange and Dubbo Hospitals.
If you are not in Orange and can't join the Orange Running Festival on 7th March 2026 you can still participate!
